A:Truthfully it is up to you for the interior and how clean you like to keep your living space. As for the exterior, the experts say a car should be waxed every 4 to 6 months. This obviously depends on the exposure to sun and amount of washings, but is a good rule of thumb.
Q:How long does a detail last?
A:It lasts as long as you keep up on it. A clean interior of a car is much easier to keep clean, just like your home. However, the wax is always what you need to keep on top of. New cars finishes are actually not as tough as old cars. There are better chemicals in the paint, but not as thick of a clear coat on the finish. Therefore they scratch easier, and are more susceptible to the sun and elements. You must keep a healthy coat of wax on a cars paint to get it to last as long as the cars will in this day and age. |
